Josephine Harvey-Partner
Born in Manhattan New York and raised in Brewster New York, Jo graduated from Brewster High School in 1971. Jo later went to Abiline Christian University to pursue her business degree where she met Bob. Jo is the owner Payroll Etc. an accounting business. Jo is also the Financial Manager for Furry Friends as well as the HVCEO. In her spare time she loves to play with her dog Baby a rescue Shepard Hound mix. Jo teaches "Transitions" a low glycemic way of healthy eating. She lost 55 lbs on the program. Jo also is a Certified Nutraceutical Consultant and educates people looking for alternatives to health. |
Robert Harvey-Partner
Born in San Bernadino California and raised in Burns Oregon, Bob graduated from Burns Union High in 1974. Bob later met Josephine In Abiline Texas where they got married and moved to Miami Fl. Bob has lived in Danbury with his wife and two kids David and Ashley for 28 years. Bob has grown up with dogs all his life and now owns his two rescue shepard hound mixes, Baby and Tye (Tye featured in picture). |
David Harvey-Partner
Born in Miami Florida and raised Danbury Connecticut. Dave is a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical school class of 1999. Dave has loved animals his entire life, he used to raise birds for many years incubating the eggs and hand feeding the babies in a brooder until adulthood. Dave has extensive knowledge in the medical field as he worked at Putnum Hospital in their Emergency room department for 4 years and was a nursing student at Riverside School Of Nursing in Newport News Virginia and also at NVCC in Waterbury Ct. Dave also has a degree in website design from NVCC and is the webmaster for Furry Friends. Dave is in charge of public relations and advertising for Furry Friends. |
Katharine Bobel-Part Time Kennel Tech
Born in Danbury Ct and raised in Newtown, Kat is a graduate of Newtown High School class of 2000. Katharine also earned her Bachelors degree in social work at Southern Connecticut State University and then went on to earn her Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of Connecticut. Katherine has three dogs named Molly, Stella and Tucker who she loves to hang out with when shes not here at Furry Friends. Katharine joined our team in 2010.

Vera Pickel-Part Time Kennel Tech
Born in Danbury Ct Vera graduated from A.C.E. High School in 2005. Vera currently works as a Veterinary Technician at a local animal hospital in Bethel Ct. Vera has been a Veterinary Technician for 4 years. Vera has 3 cats 1 dog and 1 ferret so she is no stranger to loving animals. Vera has been working for us on and off since we opened in 2007 and has been a friend of the Harvey's for about 10 years. |
Brian Drago-Dog Trainer
Born in New York and raised in Danbury Ct, Brian Drago has been an avid animal lover his entire life. His extreme passion for dogs led him to his current studies of animal behavior at Penn Foster University. Already a canine obedience trainer he is further studying dog psychology. His prized student and love of his life, 9 year old Rottweiler mix Mia has proven to be the exact result of of a well trained pet. His rehabilitation of a once very aggressive 3 year old Dachshund named Coco, who now shares the house and bed with Mia, has shown that the application of his knowledge and studies of dog training can lead to any dog becoming a great addition to any family. |

Meet Bear! This handsome fellow would love a family to go hiking, swimming, and have all kinds of fun adventures with. He is about one and a half years old and very healthy. He looks like a purebred black lab. Bear gets along great with other dogs but is a little too active for cats. He is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for a home. Bear is accustomed to living with other dogs so we would like his new home to have another friendly dog or two to keep him company.
